UN Women Annual Report 2015

Here in Kenya and around the world, 2015 was a significant year for development and the promotion of gender equality. This was the year when the United Nations General Assembly adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. It is an ambitious agenda centred on 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and focused on providing a global action plan to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all. Gender equality and the empowerment of women is integrated into all 17 SDGs, which are interrelated and interdependent.
