Gender Budgeting: Closing the Gender Gap in Kenya

GRB does not involve creating separate budgets for women and girls, or simply increasing specific budget allocations directed to these groups. Males and females have different needs and priorities, warranting differential allocations of expenditure based on these needs and priorities. The basic idea therefore is to ensure that spending serves the needs and priorities of women and men, with an aim of reducing gender inequalities.
