Kakamega hospitals run out of vital drugs over Sh39m debt

A Sh39 million debt by the Kakamega government to the Kenya Medical Supplies Agency has led to an acute shortage of medicine in hospitals in the county. Patients visiting hospitals and health facilities in the region are being asked to buy essential medicine from local chemists after prescription.
